The AIRFLOW-3 Clinical Trial uses a catheter-based system called the Nuvaira™ Lung Denervation System to address chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The system is used to treat the overactive airway nerves in a procedure called Targeted Lung Denervation (TLD). This one-time bronchoscopic procedure uses a special catheter, the dNerva™ Dual Cooled Radiofrequency Catheter, to provide an ablative therapy that opens obstructed airways to improve breathing and has the potential to reduce the frequency and seriousness of COPD exacerbations (flare-ups).
